Orpheus is the source of psionic resistance the party possesses against the Absolute, and the Emperor has been leveraging this in his favour. The protagonist eventually faces off against Gortash and Orin, assembling the Netherstones to subdue the Elder Brain. The Elder Brain, having anticipated the triumvirate and the protagonist's every move, overpowers the party before the Emperor comes to the rescue.
Players will have a level cap of 12 and the Completa Class level of both classes cannot exceed this, meaning that you may not be able to reach the full potential of either class you are multiclassing. In addition, you may find that not all Classes will synergize with each other and may find yourself weaker than if you were to focus on a single Class.

The first game in the series was Baldur's Gate and introduces the player character as a powerless orphan raised in the monastery of Candlekeep, south of Baldur's Gate and north of the kingdom of Amn. It demands a lot of patience, then, and you might have to spend a lot of those early hours just figuring things out and muddling through. Once you've figured out D&D's eccentricities, though, you'll have a much better time.
Though each is distinctive, it's impressive how much carries over from act to act, depending on your actions. Seemingly throwaway characters met in the opening hours can end up playing incredibly important parts of the overarching story, cropping up all over the place. This is especially true of the band of refugees you meet near the start of the game, who you'll bump into again and again, leaving a significant mark.

Humans as character choice is not only bad but the worst setup for any class - this needs a fix badly.
Performance has been similarly smooth, though with an RTX 4090 and an i9 13900K, I'd be worried if it wasn't. On Steam Deck things were more iffy, but I'll happily deal with 20-30 fps if it means I can play in bed.
